PDF Uutput without additional Stylesheet
A major advantage of adoc Studio is the output of PDF documents. While other converters require a separate style file to design the PDF, the same file can be used in adoc Studio as for the HTML document.
All you have to do is switch the format from HTML to PDF in the preview or in the output. You can now use the “Preview” menu to set whether you want to see single or double pages in the preview.
There are specific attributes and elements for PDF documents:
Inserting Footnotes
As HTML documents are a long text without individual pages, the format offers less potential for footnotes. This is where the PDF document shines.
You insert a footnote using the footnote:[] function. In the square brackets, write the text that is to be output in the footnote. A consecutive number is displayed in the text. If you click on the number, you will be taken directly to the footnote.
You can now decide whether all footnotes should appear at the end of the document or whether they should be displayed at the bottom of the respective page. You control this again via the attributes. With :ads-footnotes: you decide whether your footnotes are not displayed at all (hide), at the end (end) or on the respective page (page).
To do this, you can assign an ID to the footnote (footnote:ID[Text]) in order to output it in several places. You then only need to enter this ID the second time you use the footnote and both texts will refer to the same footnote.
